Leave a Trail

Tracie Lynn

Buc Vickers…he left a trail in my heart.

Years ago I had a little dream
I’d write my songs and people would pay money to hear me sing
I was told go back home get a job and pay your rent
Well, I told that man you’re not the boss of me

On that day I rolled the dice
I knew the risk, I made the choice, this would be my life
All in all, I’d have to say the good outweighs the bad
So I focused on the future
And I outlawed looking back

I never travel down that road of least resistance
Long ago I made my stand
I had a vision
I would do what I choose
Only answer to myself
I will go where there is no road
And leave a trail

Sometimes money it gets a little tight
The price I pay for doing what’s in my heart and what feels right
It’s never easy when you’re deal with the twists and turns of fate
It’s a long hard road
But it’s the hard that makes it great

I never traveled down that road of least resistance
Long ago I made my stand
I had a vision
I would do what I choose
Only answer to myself
I will go where there is no road

I will not travel down that road of least resistance
Long ago I made my stand
I had a vision
I would do what I choose
Only answer to myself
I will go where there is no road
And leave a trail
Leave a trail ……………………….
